5 years old and already hooked.

After school with my bike and rod to the polder in Hattemerbroek, a small village nearby my house. Starting fishing on rudd with bread and later on pike with self made spinners. My parents took me on holiday, first to Luxembourg & Germany, later Austria and that's where I first saw a flyfisherman standing in a stream. I was curious, but didn't know anything about this type of fishing.

At the the age of 11, it was that typical day in August with beautiful weather. Again I went to the polder in Hattemerbroek and I couldn't believe my eyes. Someone was flyfishing. It was Kurd, the man with the big red beard and after a little chat he gave me his rod for the first cast. Since then, 20 years ago, I was really hooked, hooked on flyfishing.

Nowadays I have my own advertising agency and some of my clients are active in the (fly)fishing industry. We make websites, brochures, catalogues, advertisements and much more.

Next to that I have published several articles in dutch Flyfishing magazines and I have done photography work / advertisements in dutch fishing magazines such as "Beet".

Flyfishing (of course), but also photography, video and writing articles is my driving passion and just being there in nature, anywhere, is what gives me inspiration.
