Seabass in Holland.
Den Helder, the Netherlands / July 2004
Time to catch seabass with the flyrod in the Netherlands, at least we will try to. But to which place shall we go to? We heard good stories about the Blokkendam, but that more than 180 km driving, Petten could also be interesting....but Den helder should be intersting too!
It was nice, we catched a couple of seabass with the flyrod and by spinning. And that was more than the local fishermen who have not seen fluyfishermen many times, laughed at us, but after a while when we started catching they came nearer and nearer. They didn't catch anything, hehe :))
Fish: 7 seabass in 4 hours fishing, mostly with sinking lines & flyrod, but also with the spinrod.
Flies: clousers.
