Olala Tarponmania.
Photos from our summerholiday (Mirjam & me) June 2006, 15 days. It is such a beautiful island with lots of fishing oppertunities and more. We have seen leatherback turtles (the big ones around 2 meter) eagle spotted rays, big parrot fishes, sharks (one morning I was wading at a large flat when suddenly out of nowhere a big lemon sharks apears - I could touch him, so close he was, brrrr) several species of little turtles, many fregat birds, parrots, orchids in the rainbowforrest, in fact it is too much to write down, so enjoy the pics!!
Results: 6 tarpons (babies +/- 70-100cm) and hooked several big ones (1,50 meter +) but couldn't hold them, hooked 2 big jacks but couldn't hold them either on my #10 (yes it sucks!!) catched many small jacks, polemetas, seen a big school permits and some bones.
